Welcome to Mitkco. Today I will show how to test IGBT in Mitkco. Before starting I would like to point out that all the IGBT modules are tested before delivery from Mitkco. So you don't have to retest them again, because they maybe damaged due to wrong test operation. When testing make sure that never apply a voltage greater than 20 volts to the collector emitter with the gate terminal opened.
I require Pointer Multimeter MF470 to test switching of IGBT module. We need to do zero setting first.Touch red pen with black one. Make sure Multimeter pointer point to the zero through whirling the knob.
Don't forget to remove the anti static foam. Change the dial on 10K.Place the positive on emitter, connect the negative with gate and then put it on collector,it shows the IGBT is turn-on.Place the negative on collector, connect the positive with gate and then put it on emitter,it shows the IGBT is turn-off.

Next we'll test capacitor by Digital capacitance multimeter Vicor 6013.Capacitor reflects emitter Current of IGBT.Change the dial on 200nF.Place the positive emitter and negative gator,it shows Positive capacitance.Place the positive gator and negative emitter,it shows Reverse capacitor.

We also could test collector emitter voltage by out another special equipment.

There's only 1 IGBT unit inside the module, for the IGBT Module which contains many units, we need to test each unit in the same way.
For more IGBTs,please check our other videos on Mitkco. Thousands of IGBT with other industry control parts are also available at Mitkco.com.
